Meet The Collective

By centering their voices, the collective ensured the research was grounded in lived realities, strengthened community agency, and promoted solutions that were practical and transformative.
Their work:
Informed research that reflects real community needs.
Identified practical solutions for Urban Poor Malaysian Indian women and other marginalised groups.
Guided policy initiatives with first-hand perspectives on gaps and opportunities.
47 Malaysian Indian women co-researchers, self-identified as B40 community from Kuala Lumpur and Penang, contributed their lived experiences and insights throughout the project. They shaped the research phases, helped develop research questions, and co-created sustainable solutions for community members and policy initiatives.
